Milling surface quality of brass strip hot rolling process

The hot rolling process of brass strip is the first process of semi-continuous ingot heating, hot rolling and cold rolling, and it is also the key process of strip surface quality control. In the heating stage, the atmosphere in the furnace, the temperature, the heating time and the quality of contacting the bottom of the furnace all have obvious influence on the quality of the strip.

The surface defects of brass strip caused by heating and hot rolling are also more serious, mainly manifested in the thickening of oxide crust caused by heating delay, the pressing of oxidized slag at the bottom of furnace into ingot and the poor peeling effect of hot rolling. Milling process if milling is not clean, leakage milling, knife flower, etc., will directly cause the strip surface peeling, slag and hole phenomenon.

Controlling the atmosphere in the furnace, strictly implementing the heating process, regular inspection and timely maintenance of the furnace bottom are the keys to reducing the severe oxidation of brass strip ingots, the intrusion of oxide slag and coarse grains. When milling the surface, the quality of the milling cutter blade, consistency, vibration of the milling cutter and reducing milling chip pressure are the key to ensure the quality of the milling surface. At the same time, the strict milling process is implemented, and the milling speed is controlled to solve the problem of large blade.

In order to ensure the overall quality of the billet, the local unwashed oxidation pit should be polished and repaired during rolling. In addition, the milling surface of the brass belt should pay attention to the coiling quality, to prevent the presence of gaps between layers, in the process of lifting and other layers will cause surface scratches, leaving hidden trouble for the surface quality.

In addition, brass strip, brass plate can also be used interlayer lining paper or other wear-resistant flexible materials (such as snakeski cloth, non-woven cloth, etc.) to reduce the interlayer scratch, ensure that the interlayer sliding on the surface of the blank with damage.
