Arsenic-added brass wire has good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, acceptable plasticity in cold state, good machinability, easy fiber welding and welding, corrosion resistance, non-magnetic, wear-resistant, and good ductility. Wires are usually drawn from hot rolled arsenic-added copper rods without annealing (but smaller wire sizes may require intermediate annealing).
